Crown Castle to launch service in major markets this year

Crown Castle Mobile Media is entering the New Year with a new name.

The mobile media company has changed its name to Modeo and has also revealed that it plans to begin delivering live mobile TV to the top 30 markets across the United States this year.

Modeo plans to offer a live video and audio channel package, while also supporting podcasting. Modeo subscribers will be able to download video podcasts and hundreds of audio podcasts each week directly to their mobile devices. Video services are broadcast in digital at QVGA resolution at up to 30fps.
