The Federal Communications Commission, Oct. 5, released the Report and Order adopting measures to streamline and tailor the review process for communications towers and other Commission-licensed facilities under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).
With the Report and Order, the commission seeks to reduce burdens on those involved in the review process for new communications towers while protecting historic properties, including those with religious or cultural significance to federally recognized Indian tribes and Native Hawaiian Organizations.
