FCC commissioners Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein have announced plans to hold a public forum on media concentration to give those living outside Washington, D.C., the chance to comment on media consolidation.

The forum is scheduled for Dec. 9 at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN.

The meeting is kicking off a new round of forums with the public to address media concentration as the commission prepares to revisit the issue after the recent contentious battle over changes to rules governing media ownership. Over the past 18 months, Copps and Adelstein have attended 20 pubic meetings on media ownership.

The meeting at Hamline University is open to the public and comments will be taken from those in attendance.
