Telecast Fiber Systems has introduced the SG5070 SDI-HD/SDI video signal generator, which provides broadcasters with a testing device for fiber and copper transmission paths and field identification of signals.
The new generator, which is capable of producing four different video test patterns in seven HD formats and six SDI formats, is designed to complement the company's existing Viper II line of fiber optic products.
In addition to its standard 75-ohm outputs, the SG5070 features an option for fiber optic ST connector outputs that enable direct-to-optical testing. This allows users to establish and verify high-bandwidth HD transport through their existing fiber networks.
