ON-Air Systems to roll out latest version of playKast at IBC2008

ON-AIR Systems will launch and begin shipping the new version of its playKast channel-in-a box system at IBC2008.

ON-AIR Systems’ playKast provides broadcast quality playout from a single PC system without needing additional equipment. Version 4.13 includes new features like event refresh and comprehensive log analysis without the need for third-party tools.

Other new features include:

  • up to four audio layers, including two non-recorded layers, for specialized recording of live events;
  • a new importer and log processing system;
  • support for live events and file-based feeds for picture-in-picture playout; and
  • a plug-in for music clip subtitling and timed metadata display.
