Axcera adds mobile multimedia base station to transmitter portfolio

Axcera’s new 8XC Series Mobile Multimedia Base Station supports most global mobile TV standards.
Axcera at NAB2008 introduced the 8XC Series Mobile Multimedia Base Station that’s designed to operate with most current mobile TV standards.
Mobile TV standards supported include DVB-H/SH, CMMB (STiMi), DAB/T-DMB and MediaFLO, among others. The 8XC Series is available in indoor and outdoor configurations, from 200W to greater than 1kW average power and in VHF, UHF, L-band and S-band configurations.
Also at NAB, the company announced its support of A-VSB, one of the three proposed U.S. mobile TV standards.
