Commission to discuss DTV transition status at open meeting

The FCC will focus on the DTV transition at this week its next open meeting, which will include presentations from senior staff and industry representatives about the nation’s switchover to digital television.

The meeting, which is open to the public and available from the FCC Web site, will begin at 2 p.m. ET at commission headquarters in Washington, D.C. It will be the first meeting at which Michael Copps will preside in his interim role as acting FCC chairman.
