DEV Systemtechnik to feature SNMP control

Aug 28, 2008 9:36 AM

At IBC2008, DEV Systemtechnik will highlight complete control over the entire RF signal transmission path via SNMP, which ensures information transparency from the antenna to the receiver.

The company will feature management of all new controller-based signal transmission devices via the SNMP communication protocol. Available data on the status of the RF signals is conveniently transmitted to the management and control system of the customer.

For those needing to upgrade their DEV RF signal distribution switching matrix, the company has developed an intelligent solution that makes the physical exchange of hardware or modules obsolete. A simple software upgrade allows for the functional extension of a matrix. For instance, a 32 x 16 DEV matrix can be extended to a 32 x 32 matrix without service interruption.
