The FCC released an order Nov. 19 tentatively selecting Oral Roberts University for a construction permit for a new noncommercial educational DTV station operating on Channel 26 in Tulsa, OK.
The order, adopted Sept. 24, laid out a point-based selection process used to award the construction permit to the university over Community Television Educators, an applicant seeking the same permit.
If after a 30-day filing period for petitions to deny "no substantial and material question" concerning the granting of the application has been filed, the commission will dismiss the mutually exclusive application from Community Television Educators.
