Broadcasters who use the Apex M2X will be able to install field-upgradeable updates from November on to fully support M/H broadcasts and attain an end-to-end in-band mobile DTV platform. The solution's physical layer is compatible with most ATSC DTV transmitters and supports the management and service elements of most mobile DTV standards, including OMA BCAST. Its IP-based transport layer is key to implementing ATSC M/H standards down the line.
