The FCC launched a Web site this week dedicated to Hawaii’s early transition to digital television, which will occur on Jan. 15, 2009.
The Web site will help Hawaiians as they make the move to digital more than a month before the rest of the country. The national transition to digital television will take place on February 17, 2009.
According to FCC chairman Kevin Martin the Web site includes information on DTV events in the area, how to contact local FCC staff, and answers to transition-related frequently asked questions.
