Cisco and Scientific Atlanta develop end-to-end DVB-H solution

Scientific Atlanta and parent company Cisco have unveiled an end-to-end solution for launching and running a DVB-H-based mobile TV network

The system, which features the ROSA monitoring and control system and various satellite, ATM and IP-based video distribution products from Scientific Atlanta as well as IP network routers from Cisco, is targeted primarily at European operators. Demonstrated to the public for the first time at last month’s IBC show in Amsterdam, the system was already used to provide live coverage of the Tour de France in July.
