May 6, 2008 1:47 PM
Empower RF Systems at NAB2008 released a new lineup of high-power OFDM amplifiers designed for wireless service providers requiring increased capacity for HD A/V, IPTV, MediaFLO and any 3G or pre-4G technology.
Three amplifier models are available in average power outputs of 250W, 625W, and 1250W with a 3dB range of output adjustability. The amplifiers feature remote control capability, a suite of protection routines against electrical and RF faults and fit standard 19in equipment racks. Based on Empower’s microstrip architecture, the amps are highly tolerant to adverse thermal and mechanical conditions and are available with a variety of options to suit gain control, remote control, antenna connector and power supply requirements.
