MediaFLO brings live party conventions, 2008 presidential election to AT&T, Verizon customers

In good time for the U.S. presidential election season, QUALCOMM’s MediaFLO USA has added three new stand-alone, full-time 24/7 news channels: NBC Universal's CNBC and MSNBC and FOX News. This augments current live news and in–depth current affairs programming available to AT&T subscribers as AT&T Mobile TV and to Verizon Wireless customers as V CAST Mobile TV.

All three channels will offer simulcast programming — airing content at the same time as it appears on cable. Mobile consumers can access popular cable TV news shows including CNBC’s "Squawk Box," "Mad Money with Jim Cramer" and "Power Lunch;" MSNBC’s "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," "Hardball with Chris Matthews" and "Morning Joe;” and FOX News "FOX & Friends," "The O'Reilly Factor with Bill O'Reilly" and "Hannity & Colmes."

MediaFLO USA's mobile TV service already provides news programming from CBS News on CBS Mobile — including NBC News on NBC 2GO, featuring "The Today Show," "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams," "Meet The Press" and a full-time CNN channel for AT&T Mobile TV customers.
