Monroe Electronics, DAS announce merger

Monroe Electronics and Digital Alert Systems (DAS), which both provide enhanced emergency alert system (EAS) solutions, announced Oct. 21 they intend to merge and thereby create a unified source for products meeting EAS requirements. Under the terms of the merger, DAS will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Monroe.

DAS's flagship DASDEC platform is a next-generation CAP-compatible EAS encoder/decoder offering the benefits of Internet and LAN-based communications while maintaining compatibility with current EAS protocol.
