Net Insight has received a sizeable order from Norkring for delivery of equipment to the Norwegian digital terrestrial TV network to begin in the fourth quarter.
Net Insight announced a framework agreement had been signed May 22 with Norkring regarding delivery of equipment to the transport network for the Norwegian digital terrestrial TV network. That framework agreement pertained to the delivery of 400 to 700 Net Insight Nimbra nodes over a two- to three-year period. The framework agreement was subject to the awarding of the concession for digital broadcasting that would be given to NTV and that the broadcaster would award Norkring with the contract to build and operate the Norwegian digital terrestrial TV network. In June, NTV received the concession for digital terrestrial TV.
