TeamCast is showcasing its hybrid DVB-SH and CMMB mobile TV systems and the terrestrial DVB-H standard, which are all used in combination with DiBcom’s receiver chips, at the Mobile World Congress 2009, Feb. 16-19 in Barcelona.

The TeamCast DVB-SH core technology being presented at MWC 2009 is already in use in pilot hybrid networks deployed in the United States by ICO Global Communications and demonstrated at the 2009 International CES 2009 convention in January.

DVB-SH provides universal coverage and efficient usage of the spectrum by combining on the same frequency channels, a direct signal coming from the satellite and repeated signals coming from terrestrial transmitters. Key to this approach is perfect synchronization of these signals.
