BMG-owned Sonopress debuts mini-DVD

Sonopress, the replication division of BMG, which recentlly merged with Sony Music Entertainment, has announced it will begin manufacturing an 8cm DVD disc.
The mini-DVD is fully compatible with standard DVD players. It has a data capacity of 2.66GB - enough storage space for 50 minutes of film.
The company said potential applications for these small data carriers will include use for music video clips, promotional music, video materials and music video singles.
