Kevorkian Mastering, owned by mastering engineer Fred Kevorkian, has opened a new facility at Avatar Studios in New York City.
The mastering room is approximately 300sq ft. The room was constructed from a design conceived by Sam Berkow of SIA Acoustics and was further enhanced by Roy Hendrickson, Avatar's chief engineer.
Membrane absorbers were incorporated into the walls of the room and Skyline diffusors made by RPG are used on the rear and sidewalls. The room features the Muth transfer console, Sontec equalizer, Weiss and Z Systems processing units.
