Sonopress, Sterling Sound, M1 Digital hold Dualdisc seminar

Replicator Sonopress, mastering facility Sterling Sound and DVD authoring company M2 Digital joined forces for a technical seminar on the Dualdisc format in New York April 26-28.

Presenters included Murat Aktar, president, Sterling Sound; David Anthony, president, M1 Digital; Leon Zervos, lead mastering engineer; and Andrew DaPuzzo, director of audio sales for Sonopress.

The seminars’ agenda covered topics including DualDisc features and specifications; DVD-audio and its role in DualDisc; menu design for DualDisc; special features planning and execution; audio mastering issues with tour of mastering engineer Leon Zervos’ studio; and manufacturing plant requirements.
