Andrew Galletly of Audioprojects gives the Fairlight Xynergi a thumbs up.
Audioprojects, one of Spain’s premier film and TV post-production facilities, has significantly expanded its business by taking over the Barcelona studio complex formerly owned by DUY. The facility, which consists of three studios and a small Dolby-certified dubbing theater for film commercials and trailers, is being refurbished and re-equipped with two Fairlight Xynergi media production systems, powered by Fairlight’s CC-1 engines.
The systems Audioprojects has installed are being used for voice recording for lip-sync, which forms the bulk of its business. The ability to network the systems between studios is proving to be a major advantage because this allows the company to increase workflow speed without compromising stability and synchronization.
Established in 1989, Audioprojects dubs film and TV material into English, Spanish, Italian, French, German and Catalan. It also operates five studios and four mixing theaters at its main complex housed in a 19th-century manor house outside Barcelona and boasts an international client list of major TV networks, producers, publicity firms and video distributors.
