Eric C. Evans, chairman and CEO of D&M Holdings, announced the firm’s acquisition of UK-based console manufacturer Calrec.
D&M Holdings has acquired Calrec Audio of Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, England, a designer and manufacturer of premium audio products and live-to-air consoles for the broadcast market. Calrec is best known for innovative digital audio consoles supported by its Bluefin processing technology.
In addition to digital mixers, Calrec offers analog consoles and audio networking equipment for live production and live-to-air broadcast. In addition to broadcast, D&M has targeted expansion in other commercial A/V markets such as recording, live music performance venues, film production and public spaces. The company is best known in the professional market for its Denon and Marantz brands. D&M Holdings also offers notable consumer electronics brands such as Boston Acoustics, McIntosh, Snell Acoustics, ReplayTV and Escient.
