Digidesign ships ICON D-Control ES and C 24 work surfaces

The C 24 control surface, an updated version of the Control 24, offers a fresh design layout and tighter Pro Tools integration.
Digidesign has begun dealer shipments of its new, large-format ICON D-Control ES and the midsize C 24 control surface. Previewed for the first time at the recent AES convention in New York, the ICON D-Control ES is the latest member of the ICON work surface family, along with the original ICON D-Control and medium-format ICON D-Command. The C 24 control surface is an update of the company’s Control 24, a midformat surface for use with Pro Tools software.
The new ICON D-Control ES offers higher contrast text and graphics for improved legibility in low light and a new switch LED color layout for improved ergonomics. Like other Digidesign ICON systems, the D-Control ES boasts the full integration with Pro Tools HD software, including complete recall of all session parameters, routing and plug-ins. The new D-Control ES uses a darker color scheme designed to blend easily with modern studio décor, but Digidesign will continue to offer the original blue color scheme.
Also featuring a new industrial design, the new low-profile C 24 offers updated analog input circuitry, a 5.1 monitor system and full Pro Tools integration with tactile control using Digidesign's proprietary Ethernet communication protocol. The system’s front end includes 16 low-noise mic/line/DI preamps, while the main surface offers 24 bankable control strips with 100mm, touch-sensitive, motorized faders and a wide array of dedicated function switches. Additional features include 24 rotary encoders and an 8 x 2 stereo submixer that can be routed directly to the monitor system.
Digidesign is also offering various product bundles as well as hardware exchange programs on its latest hardware that offer substantial savings to both new and existing clients.
