The Eclipse matrix system provides a foundation for user-to-user and group-based multi-connections communication.
Clear-Com will supply nine Eclipse Digital Matrix intercom systems to ZDF, a German public broadcaster.
ZDF, with the assistance of systems integrator Studio Hamburg MCI, will install the Eclipse Matrix units in a new multistudio broadcasting facility to be built over the course of the next 36 months.
The Eclipse Matrix units will be integrated in the facility in seven separate installments. Among the first of these will be the creation of two studios, one of which will feature three Eclipse Matrix units linked over redundant fiber lines, creating a common communications environment whereby all ZDF employees can keep in contact from the same location.
The Eclipse matrix systems provide a foundation for user-to-user and group-based multiconnections communication, supporting as few as 16 on a single matrix frame or as many as 3120 user connections on a networked system platform. Designed and engineered to meet communication needs of any size and complexity, Eclipse offers redundant processing, integrated digital wireless, individual level control, rugged design and intelligent linking of matrices.
