Neumann celebrates 40th anniversary of U 87 microphone

Neumann will offer a special edition of the U 87 microphone in honor of its 40-year history.
To commemorate the 40th year in production of the U 87 microphone, Neumann will host a series of U 87 promotional events.
A limited edition U 87 Anniversary Set will be available in a few weeks. According to Wolfgang Fraissinet, president of marketing and sales at Neumann Berlin, this special edition U 87 is an “exclusive version with unique product features.”
U 87 users are invited to send a short video message concerning their associations with the U 87 to a dedicated Web site via e-mail or MMS through the end of the year. The winner of a drawing among the 87 most interesting entries will claim a trip to Neumann Berlin, where the company promises in-depth insight into the secrets of the development and manufacture of Neumann microphones.
