Neumann celebrates 80th anniversary with TLM 67 launch

The new TLM 67 brings modern circuitry design and fresh aesthetics to Neumann’s classic K 67 capsule.
As part of its ongoing 80th anniversary celebration, Neumann has intruded the TLM 67, a large-diaphragm studio condenser microphone. In many respects, the TLM 67 is based on its namesake, the U 67, a classic mic from the 1960s. Both use the Neumann K 67 capsule. A new circuit design closely reproduces the sound characteristics of the classic U 67 but without the use of tubes. Similar Neumann circuit technology has already proven successful in the TLM 49.
Deigned for recording applications, the versatile TLM 67 offers three switchable polar patterns (omnidirectional, cardioid and figure eight), selectable 10dB preattenuation and a switchable high-pass filter. The TLM 67 introduces a novel Neumann dual-color design, with the pearl gray of the microphone body combining with the classic Neumann nickel color for a distinctive look. In honor of its founder, Georg Neumann, the microphone sports his image on a three-dimensional metal emblem.
