Neutrik’s new dummyPLUG series blocks dirt and debris to extend the reliability of chassis connectors.
Neutrik has released its latest accessory, the dummyPLUG, designed to keep dust and debris out of unused chassis connector inputs. The dummyPLUG is a rubber cover that fully protects the connector in the unmated condition. They serve as protection for both Neutrik SpeakOn and PowerCon chassis connectors but can also provide convenience and security in the studio or on the road, reducing the possibility of miswiring during setup.
The plugs are especially useful with larger audio consoles where several inputs are typically not being used. Neutrik offers versions for both male and female XLR receptacles as well its OpticalCon, two- and four-pole SpeakOn chassis and PowerCon chassis connectors.
