QSC WideLine system to go on tour

The WideLine 8 array system will be among the products featured on QSC’s upcoming hands-on demo tour.
QSC Audio is hitting the road with a series of on-site, hands-on demonstrations of its multichannel WideLine 8 and WideLine 10 line array systems. Cities scheduled include Atlanta, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Chicago. Interested parties will have opportunities to get behind the console in front of other systems including ILA (Installation Line Array) enclosures and HPR Series self-powered loudspeakers. At each event, guests will be able to mix on each system using a 24-track prerecorded live concert.
"The whole idea of this trip is to literally put these systems into the hands of people who want to find out for themselves what they can do in real-world situations," says QSC's Brian English, who along with Jon Graves will host and coordinate events at each stop. "There are a number of unique opportunities planned, and visiting guests will be able to test drive any combination of the loudspeakers we'll have setup."
The first stop on the tour will be just outside Atlanta at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center in Duluth, GA, on March 25-26. The following two events will be at the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas on April 15-16, and at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for an extended two-week stand beginning April 25 and running through May 4 on the Lagniappe Stage. During the three dark days of the festival (April 28-30), invited guests will be brought in for more personal time with the systems. The tour’s last stop will be in Chicago on May 13-14 at an unannounced location.
Guest speakers will be part of the mix at various points, with QSC founder Pat Quilter and Mark Engebretson, QSC VP of R&D and chief systems architect, slated for some appearances. Attendees can register their names in a giveaway that will award one complete WideLine 8 concert rig, including speakers, amps and processing, at the end of the tour.
