Sony’s new DWT-PO1 digital wireless plug-on transmitter features a high-resolution OLED display.
At the recent AES, Sony demonstrated the new DWT-PO1 plug-on transmitter, the latest addition to its digital wireless system. Said to represent a significant milestone in audio wireless technology, the DWT-PO1 enables any professional XLR wired microphone to be integrated into the Sony DWL-01 Series digital wireless microphone system.
The DWT-P01 is housed in a rugged, compact, lightweight metal body for high durability and excellent balance. Operators will appreciate the easy-to-read OLED display, adjustable attenuator and digital low-cut filter. The transmitter also offers +48V power, a wide range of available frequencies and selectable output power (1mW, 10mW or 50mW). The input level is mic/line switchable.
Introduced at NAB2008, Sony’s DWL-01 system is aimed squarely at camera-top and ENG applications, allowing easy integration with the company’s new XDCAM camcorders. The DWT-PO1 will be available in early 2009.
