Michael Worona was recently promoted to the new position of director of business development at Symetrix.

Signal processing manufacturer Symetrix has announced two organizational moves, both geared to increasing market penetration of its Symetrix, SymNet, AirTools and Lucid brands. Internally, product specialist Michael Worona has been promoted to director of business development. On the distribution side, the manufacturer's rep firm Audio Geer has been appointed to handle sales for the region including southern California, southern Nevada and Arizona.

Worona's new responsibilities include development of technical and educational outreach programs for new and existing clients. He will also work closely with designers and integrators involved in large venue installations with the overall goal of expanding the company's global presence.

Audio Geer is a firm based in the Los Angeles area. Symetrix joins the firm's line card, which already includes Shure, EAW, Denon, Furman, TC Electronic and Lab.Gruppen. Founder Alan Geer notes that the addition of Symetrix provides the final link in the firm's quest to provide full-system integration from a single source.
