Mitek, headed by Loyd Ivey, is the parent company of Atlas Sound, which has merged with IED.

Loyd Ivey, founder and CEO of Mitek, has announced the merger of Atlas Sound, a Mitek subsidiary, and Innovative Electronic Designs (IED), a Louisville, KY-based maker of A/V communications management systems and components. Founded in 1934, Atlas Sound is a long-time provider of audio for commercial applications.

The two companies will continue to operate independently, with no changes in management, staffing or daily operations.
