Audio-Technica has been selected as the official headphone supplier for the new Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. More than 60 pairs of ATH-M30 closed-back dynamic stereo headphones have been selected for use in the museum's exhibits.

The 30,000sq-ft facility celebrated its grand opening Dec. 3-6, 2008, culminating the Recording Academy's 50th anniversary. The museum is located within L.A. LIVE, the downtown Los Angeles sports, entertainment and residential district and across the street from the Staples Center, where the telecast of 51st Annual Grammy Awards will take place Feb. 9.

"We are thrilled to be working with Audio-Technica," said Robert Santelli, the museum’s executive director. "The ATH-M30 headphones will allow visitors to the Grammy Museum to experience our exhibits in a richer and more exciting way." Established to explore and celebrate all forms of music, the creative process, the art and technology of recording and the history of the Grammy Awards, the museum features four floors of multimedia presentations. The majority of exhibits involve a meticulously chosen soundtrack, which attendees will hear through the Audio-Technica headphones.

The Grammy Museum features educational and public programs, including music classes for children, mentoring and Q/A sessions with visiting artists, lectures by music industry veterans, film screenings and musical performances. The museum has also developed partnerships with local colleges and universities to offer programs for students working toward a career in music.

The ATH-M30 is a closed-back, low-profile dynamic design that offers superb sonic accuracy with maximum comfort, providing exceptional clarity and isolation in high-volume listening situations.
