Dalet News Suite for Vectorbox

The Dalet News Suite for Vectorbox is a workflow-enhancing broadcast software suite.

Dalet Digital Media Systems and server manufacturer Vector 3 have launched Dalet News Suite for VectorBox, a turnkey digital production and playout solution designed for local television and community stations. The system combines Dalet News Suite production tools running on standard servers with VectorBox video and template-based CG playout. The new system offers full interoperability with a common interface, creating a unified, cost-effective production environment.

Dalet News Suite for VectorBox comes standard with a predefined workflow, associated training and installation services. It integrates with existing nonlinear editing (NLE) systems and complements them by providing centralized storage, desktop shot selection and editing, template-based CGs, advanced scripting, program preparation tools and reliable playout.

The standard system is provided with five production workstations, centralized storage, one agency wire receiver and a Vector V-News playout server. Dalet News Suite for VectorBox is scalable — centralized feed ingest, workstations, playout ports and storage can be added at any time. Designed as an open platform, it can evolve with a station’s needs whether it is program continuity playout, rich-media file distribution for Web and mobile networks, archiving or multilocation production.

Vector 3 develops software for broadcast equipment control and is based in Barcelona, Spain. Dalet Digital Media Systems, headquartered in France, is dedicated to management software for audio and video assets.

Spanish public broadcaster TV Badalona has already implemented the Dalet News Suite for VectorBox. The product is available in the United States through Dalet Digital Media Systems US, based in New York.
