Brainstorm introduced a new product at NAB, the DCD-8 word clock distripalyzer. The DCD-8 embodies a comprehensive package for all clocking needs, providing versatility across a wide range of applications.
DCD-8 features include a word clock distributor/generator, audio router/format converter, and analyzer. Word clock reference formats include external WC, AES/EBU, S/PDIF, ADAT, firewire, video and internal crystal. The unit contains two separate generators, capable of generating two rates simultaneously, assignable to any of eight word clock outputs. The unit’s low-jitter clock handles all standard rates up to 192K. Audio inputs and outputs include AES/EBU, S/PDIF, ADAT and Firewire. Any audio input can be routed to any output for maximum flexibility.
The DCD-8 is also expandable, allowing multiple units to be linked together via cable while maintaining phase.
