Guitar Center introduces revamped online presence

Aug 13, 2006 8:00 AM

Music products retail giant Guitar Center has announced the introduction of www.guitarcenter.com as the centerpiece of its online retail offering. The site allows users to search, compare and buy direct, broadening the firm's online presence by building on its existing direct response business and eCommerce website, MusiciansFriend.com.

The online store completes the first phase of the company's plan to become a fully integrated, multi-channel retailer. The next phases involve the addition of kiosks in Guitar Center stores to allow customers to search for products throughout the chain and on the website and the eventual ability to enable customers to purchase online and pick up or exchange merchandise at their local stores.
