IBC2007 adds daily radio station

Aug 10, 2007 3:27 PM

The Calrec X2 radio console that will be used for Radio IBC uses Bluefin high density signal processing.

A new feature of this year’s IBC2007 will be Radio IBC, providing attendees with real-time show news and features throughout the day. The station will be accessible via FM radio, mobile streaming and on the Web with an RSS feed.

This new feature will be made possible in part by Calrec Audio, which is providing a 12-fader X2 digital radio console for the duration of the show. The station will broadcast 10 hours daily from the RAI Centre, with 10,000 pre-tuned FM receivers being distributed free to IBC attendees and exhibitors.

The Calrec X2 is an all-digital radio console designed for on-air operation, using Calrec’s Bluefin High Density Signal Processing (HDSP) technology.
