JBL offers VerTec factory training

In order to expand on the growing popularity of its VerTec line array systems, JBL Professional has established a formal VerTec Training Program at its factory on the Harman International Business Campus in Northridge, CA. The program consists of both classroom and hands-on training for three days, teaching classic, technical line array theory while offering product knowledge and practical skills in system design, setup and optimization.

The curriculum is presented by JBL product managers and applications engineers under the direction of Paul Bauman, JBL’s director of touring sound products and applications engineering. A holder of master’s degrees in both electrical engineering and physics with more than 20 years of pro audio and touring sound experience, Bauman is enthusiastic about the program’s benefits.

The VerTec Training Program sessions are offered monthly and are open to members of the professional audio industry on a reservation basis, with preference given to VerTec system owners. Because of space limitations, advance planning is recommended.
