Lawo launches new flagship console at AES Europe

Lawo launched its much-anticipated mc2 90 console at AES Europe in Paris. Building on the success of the mc2 66, the new desk incorporates a new graphical layout and is billed as the first "totally redundant" mixing console on the market.

Introducing the mc2 90 at a packed session, Philipp Lawo explained that the new desk had been designed without compromises, with features developed in response to customer comments that simply could not be integrated into to space-efficient architecture of its predecessor, the mc2 66.

Features of the new console include a surface that is designed for highly intuitive operation and boasts a larger work surface, a new graphical layout, and the inclusion of the Lawo Star2 structure in the operating surface. The new mc2 90 console is targeted at OB trucks. However, the new unit’s flexible, modular design should make it appropriate for a broad range of applications.
