Manley TNT due for arrival

Manley Labs has announced the imminent release of its new TNT (Tubes No Tubes) two-channel mic preamp. The new model is notable for having two completely different channel approaches — one with tubes and one without. The tube channel consists of the firm’s acclaimed Slam! preamplifier, while the second preamp is solid state, inspired by old British console preamps, with transformer balanced output. By housing two such differing approaches to preamplification in a single unit, Manley will offer recording engineers a vast palette of tonal colors in a 1RU chassis. Shipping dates are not yet available, but Manley will be previewing the TNT at the upcoming NAMM show in Anaheim, CA.
