Neutrik presents EtherCon for Cat 6 cables at Prolight + Sound

Neutrik introduced its EtherCon series of Cat 6 connection hardware at the recent Prolight + Sound show in Frankfort, Germany.
At the recent Prolight + Sound show, Neutrik announced its solution for qualified Cat 6 connectors with the development of the EtherCon series. The system offers a rugged metal housing for RJ45 cable connectors that protects the connector against mechanical load, plus the company’s chuck-type strain relief and a separate locking, to avoid accidental unplugging.
The company developed the system to meet the rising requirements of data volume, transfer rate and bandwidth. The system is perfectly suitable for Ethernet applications in harsh, demanding environments such as live stage production, DMX lighting, outdoor Internet access and industrial Ethernet.
