The Neve 8051 surround compressor provides six fully transformer balanced audio paths complemented by two side chains and a key input.
It features flexible side chain routing, trimming and filtering. Fully discrete audio paths and the classic negative feedback circuit design ensure that the 8051surround compressor provides the vintage Neve.
The compressors are based on a circuit design first used in the classic 2254 limiter/compressor designed by Neve in 1969. They offer the same iron control and musicality but with enhanced flexibility.
It is available in two versions: standard and mastering. The standard version features continuously variable rotary controls allowing total flexibility. The mastering version offers indented rotary controls for matching and repeatability.
