Germany console manufacturer Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup has opened a new subsidiary in Moscow, Russia. The new office opened its doors Dec. 1 with a binational team of five Russian and German engineers. The Moscow office started in full gear, overseeing current Stagetec projects in the Bolshoi Theater (Moscow) and the Alexandrinsky-Theater (St. Petersburg).

The new Moscow subsidiary is located in the center of the city, near Red Square. The 200sq-m office floor includes a fully equipped demo studio where clients can be introduced to the latest Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup mixing consoles and routing technology and participate in training sessions delivered by experienced audio experts. The studio is equipped with a 32-channel-strip AURUS, a compact AURATUS for broadcast installations and a NEXUS routing system. Plans call for the company’s new midsize CRESCENDO console to be installed early in 2010.

“Today, our list of references includes installations in the Kremlin Palace, the Moscow International House of Music, the Alexandrinsky-Theater in St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Concert Hall and its OB truck. Opening our own subsidiary in Moscow is the logical next step in consolidating these achievements,” said Stephan Salzbrenner, managing director of marketing and sales. “It will bring us closer to our clients in Eastern Europe and will boost our growth in these dynamic markets.”
