THX has designated Crown International's DSi Series amplifier line as "THX Approved" for use in cinema sound systems.
The DSi Series joins Crown's current CTs Series and Macro-Tech 02 Series in being recognized by THX as amplifier ranges tested and deemed appropriate for use in THX Certified Cinemas.
Composed of three two-channel amplifier models and an eight-channel system monitor, the DSi Series was engineered from the ground up for cinema applications. An intuitive front-panel LCD guides installers through the process of choosing loudspeaker signal processing presets and other system parameters.
An integrated proprietary DSP includes presets for crossover frequencies, EQ filters, delay and output limiting. Computer connectivity via USB permits fast amplifier setup using the included HiQnet System Architect software.
