TOA launches Phase II of 9000 series digital matrix mixer/amplifiers

TOA Electronics introduced the second phase of its 9000 Series digital matrix mixer/amplifiers at the recent NSCA Expo in Las Vegas. The TOA 9000 Series combines a modular mixer, digital signal processor (DSP) and power amplifiers in a compact, two rack space package.

The 9000 Series line-up includes four new digital matrix mixer/amplifiers, models A-9060S (1x 60 W @ 25/70V, 4/8 ohms), A-9120S (1x 120 W @ 25/70V, 4/8 ohms), A-9240SH (1x 240 W at 70 V) and A-9120DL (2x 120 W @ 4-16 ohms). Each model includes eight module ports for up to eight mic/line inputs and an 8x8 matrix. A built-in digital signal processor (DSP) provides 10 band parametric EQ, compressor, eight-level ducking and other functions. Two discrete operation modes, "Matrix" and "Mixer", provide functionality for both complex and conventional project needs. A bright blue front panel display allows programming without requiring an external computer. Flexible control features include two remote volume controls, assignable to any input or output; programmable trigger inputs and outputs; and an RS-232 serial port.
