360 Systems, Leightronix to market video server, automation combination

360 Systems and Leightronix have announced a strategic relationship that has produced a broadcast-quality video server and automation suite that delivers a dependable content management and distribution solution. The product combination is composed of any 360 Systems’ Image Server — including the Image Server 2000, Maxx or the recently introduced MAXX 6T — and the new Leightronix TCD/V3. The TCD/V3 is a fourth generation video system controller specifically designed for 360 Systems’ servers.

The TCD/V3 is a network-managed controller featuring WinLGX, an improved built-in user interface for automation scheduling and management. When used in tandem with the TCD/V3 controller, broadcasters, cable networks and professional A/V integrators can create a network-based video content management and distribution infrastructure for control and playout of as many as 16 Image Servers, or 48 direct-to-air channels.

The new MAXX-6T, to be introduced at NAB2007, extends the functionality of the family of Image Servers by increasing storage to more than 700 hours. In addition, it incorporates higher levels of reliability through the addition of redundant power supplies and RAID-6 storage protection.
