Adtec debuts adCode media ingest station

Adtec’s enterprise spot insertion solution. It fulfills the function of a studio encoder and interfaces with Adtec’s Traffic and Billing Gateway Server (TBGS) to provide content to the entire interconnect.

New content is ingested and prepared for storage and distribution to headends. The adCode supports CableLabs VOD and SCTE encoding standards. Sources can be tapes, DVDs or content nonlinear editors. The dual stereo audio encoding supports MPEG and DolbyDigital AC3 encoding.

adCode can use an emulation VTR, controlled by Apple Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express, iMove and Adobe Premier directly from the timeline to create constant or variable bit rate MPEG video.
