Advanced Media Workflow Association October event to demonstrate MXF interoperability

The Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) will host a seminar with leading providers of products and services to the media and entertainment sector to demonstrate interoperability of file-based production and distribution Oct. 26 in Hollywood, CA.

The seminar is a preconference event for the 2009 SMPTE Tech Conference and Expo. The technical demonstration will show typical processes from ingest to distribution using the recently developed application specifications. These are subsets of the MXF standards that provide for simple and cost-effective implementation of tapeless operations.

Participants in the demonstration include: Adobe, AmberFin, Ascent Media Group, Avid, Cinegy, IBM, Metaglue, Omneon, RadiantGrid, Rhozet, SAN Solutions, Signiant and Sony.
