Alfacam buys 30 EVS HD servers for major sport broadcasts

Alfacam has chosen EVS instant tapeless technology for HD production at various major events such as the upcoming Beijing Olympics and the A1 GP car races. Based in Belgium, Alfacam provides TV facilities and services to broadcasters and production houses.
Following this acquisition of more than 30 XT[2] HD servers and dedicated applications, Alfacam will use the systems during the A1 GP car races and the upcoming Olympics, where Alfacam will be a major contributor for outside production.
The deal represents an investment of more than €5.5 million for Alfacam.
