WRNN-TV uses 360 Systems’ Image Server for master control, news and backup.

New York-based WRNN-TV is using 360 Systems Image Servers to handle master control, news, loops, animation and backup. The broadcaster uses two Image Servers for master control — one is the primary server used for inserting spots and playout that runs 24/7, and the other is a backup.

The Image Server MAXX units run WRNN’s news operation, each one handling two channels of SDI video. The station distributes five hours of live programming per day, and runs commercials, infomercials and PSAs over cable and satellite networks, as well as broadcasts digital content. The regional news network is seen in more than 5 million cable homes — including all five boroughs of New York City.
