Creative Technology selected Barco’s OLite 612 LED displays to replace the dot matrix scoreboards on Center Court and No.1 Court at this year’s All England Lawn Tennis Championships at Wimbledon, June 23-July 6, Barco’s LED screens displayed scores from both courts and provided fans with hawk-eye replays and other additional match information.
The championships featured a total of 10 displays using Barco’s OLite 612 LED panels. In addition to the four on-court scoreboards, four IBM ball speed indicators also were upgraded to use the same full-color OLite 612 LED panels.
The Barco OLite 612 LED display is a multipurpose display suitable for both indoor and outdoor use with a 12mm pixel pitch, 6000NIT light output and 15-bit processing.
